A standard cab is made from glass, requiring additional protection in the form of a metal mesh guard. While adding a layer of safety, the mesh also obstructs the operator's view. Bobcat developed its polycarbonate glass Clear View Cab to maintain full operator protection while providing a clear view to improve the quality of the working conditions.

The only mesh can be found on side windows that open, protecting the operator from accidental injury. All the other parts of the cab windows are made from clear materials classified as permanent obstacles, therefore no mesh is required. The material for the cab side windows is the extremely durable 10mm Makrolon polycarbonate. It is almost indestructible and very stable in all weather conditions. In situations where other loader cabs' windows break, Clear View Cab windows stay intact and in perfect condition.

If you work in the harshest conditions where there is a greater risk of objects colliding with your machine, you can always equip your Clear View Cab with a forestry kit option which gives you additional protection to the front door and the entire machine.

With clear polycarbonate side windows, you can also appreciate the ease of communicating with your colleagues through the side window of your cab. 

Another major advantage of mesh-free windows is that you can clean easily them from the inside with just one wipe of cloth if needed. This is extra convenient for those cold days at the job when condensation inside the cab can leave windows misty.
