Operating a Bobcat portable air compressor is straightforward: 

Before you start: 

• Park the compressor on a firm, level surface and block or chock the wheels. 
• Open the enclosure doors. Check engine oil, coolant, compressor oil and fuel levels. Inspect for leaks, loose parts and debris. Ensure all covers and doors are closed. 
• Ensure the service air valve is closed before starting.  

Starting the Compressor:  

• Press the main power button. Wait for the “Wait to Start” message to disappear.  
• Press and release the start button. Let the engine crank and start.  
• Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature (about 150°F/65°C).  
• Press the service air button to begin building air pressure. 
• Attach air hoses and ensure whip checks are installed.
