SNOWBLOWER ATTACHMENTS & IMPLEMENTS

A snowblower attachment is a machine-powered snow removal tool that uses an auger and impeller to pull in snow and throw it through a chute – clearing faster than pushing and moving snow where you need it. 

Multiple snowblower attachments exist in the industry with the traditional snowblower, front-mount snowblower (tractors), 3-Point snowblower (tractors), articulating tractor snowblower and more.

A snowblower attachment or implement is used to clear driveways, sidewalks, parking lots and roads by removing snow and throwing it away from the cleared area, especially helpful for deep drifts, heavy snowbanks and hard-packed snow. 

Snowblower attachments are available in several types designed around Bobcat carrier platforms and mounting styles, including: 

• Hydraulic snowblower attachment (loaders, Toolcat utility work machines and telehandlers): High-capacity intake and chute options for jobsite snow removal. 
• Front-mount snowblower (compact tractors): PTO-powered with forward visibility, hydraulic chute and height control. 
• 3-point snowblower (compact tractors): Rear PTO implement that clears while traveling in reverse (often without removing the front loader). 
• Articulating tractor snowblower (27x48): Purpose-built blower sized for the articulating tractor platform. 

The right snowblower attachment is chosen by matching the attachment to your carrier first, then sizing and equipping it for your snow, surface and discharge needs. 

• Match the blower to your machine: PTO-driven options for compact tractors vs. hydraulic options for loaders, Toolcat utility work machines or telehandlers vs. articulating tractor models. 
• Pick your operating style: 
  • Front-mount for forward operation, better visibility and easier control. (loaders, tractors, toolcat and telehandlers) 
  • 3-point if you want to keep the front-end loader installed and don’t mind blowing while backing up. (tractors) 
• Consider snow conditions and area size: Deeper, heavier snow and larger areas benefit from the right width and the power your machine can support. 
• Think about snow placement: If you need to throw higher, farther or load trucks, choose the chute setup that fits the job.

Bobcat snowblower attachments can be compatible across multiple Bobcat carriers and models within the same platform type, but they are not universal across all machines. Compatibility depends on the carrier category and power source (PTO vs. hydraulic), plus mounting interface, hydraulic flow/pressure (for hydraulic models) or PTO/driveline requirements (for tractor models). 

• Hydraulic snowblower attachments are built to work across compatible compact loaders, Toolcat™ utility work machines and telehandlers (model- and configuration-dependent), which gives fleets flexibility to run the same attachment on different approved machines. 
• PTO snowblowers are carrier-specific: front-mount and 3-point snowblowers are exclusive to compact tractors because they rely on tractor PTO power and tractor mounting systems, not loader auxiliary hydraulics.
